Deleted. Without second thoughts.

It's funny how soon my preferences change, within a matter of weeks, no less...

Before you start wondering what on earth I am talking about, I read the Twilight series a couple of months back. Understandably, I was completely smitten; rolled up my sleeves and started writing a post extolling all the reasons why the series was a must-read. I never got to completing that post; maybe just a para or two, before I just saved the draft and moved on. Now, this happened maybe a month back. A few minutes ago, I was cleaning up my drafts, and I did not even think twice before selecting that particular post and clicking on the Delete button. Not even a tinge of regret that something which I liked so much, prodded so many people into reading, was pushed so far back into the recesses of my mind that I do not even feel anything for it anymore.

What does this mean, I wonder? This sudden change in likes and dislikes? Does this happen to any of you? This soon, I mean.

  8. It happens with me also, though with food or songs. In your case, you either dislike the series or the idea to post something about the series.I think it is the later one.If you haven't liked the series, you would not have even thought of writing a post. And see, two months is a long time.Think again. And yes, keep this habit of sudden change to books only!!

  11. Hey, I felt good after reading this post since I am not the only one who felt that way.
I am just so fond of twilight saga that I almost made all my friends read it. It's an awe-inspiring series of course. But after a week or so I thought it was so stupid of me to be so pushy regarding the series.
And after another week, I didn't feel quite the same about the series.

Even I am trying to figure out the reason behind this mood swing. But I think it happens. Once you're distracted and your mind shifts its focus onto other things, you lose touch with the older likings of yours!

    So chill..!

    P.S - No matter what, I still love twilight saga! :D ;-)

  12. Well, Ankita, it feels great to have someone who's with me on this! Maybe it's a case of eating too much of your favorite dish - you simply cannot have another bite, you feel like pushing it away, and yet you want more of it ;-)

Me loves the Twilight saga too; especially Midnight Sun, loved it! Wish she completed it, it's sad that it leaked out and she decided to put a full stop to it.

  13. Ah! Midnight sun! How I wish I could read it till the end. I hope she continues and publishes soon! :-)

  14. Hey Hi..!!

I too read Twlight, New Moon and breezed through Eclipse.. but Breaking Dawn killed me!! Girls are drooling over the book, I saw one crying at the bookstore for not getting a copy.. I too liked it initially but I guess I later got sick of reading about 'Edward's Marble Chest!' :D

  15. Fingers crossed, babe :-)

  16. Gee, I wouldn't go so far as to say I drooled over Edward Cullen, or even cried cos I dint get the book - if anything, I was shocked at the price and promptly dropped it ;-)

Anyway... try to read the unfinished last book, Midnight Sun. It's been written from Edward's point of view, and is quite funny and nice. :-)
